WEEKLY COMMUNITY BULLETIN

‘Tis the season

As the week and term come to a close, we have yet again seen wonderful learning in action on our campus; the Grade 5 Showcase was a fantastic opportunity for our budding leaders to share their learning and their take on governing bodies and governing their own islands… watch this space!

The student councils have been busy: in primary, they judged the decorations in the various classrooms, whilst in secondary they organised and led the final assembly.

We have had bake sales, and more Bandari fundraising excitement - don’t forget to get raffle tickets after the break for a chance to win that Stade Toulousain signed shirt!

After our break, parents will be invited to a meeting with the Senior Leadership Group (January 30th) to hear about what we do, what our plans are, etc. We will also share more information on how to sign up for our very first SyncIn Research Concert on January 25th (more details in table below).

As I shared in last week’s bulletin, remember to switch off, and use this coming holiday season to just be.

Have a wonderful holiday season, and safe travels for those who will be spending the next couple of weeks away from Toulouse.

Warm wishes,

Rachel Leonard,

IST Principal

What a Term!

As we reach the end of the first school term, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the countless ways you have contributed to our learning community — whether it was volunteering your time, attending events in school, supporting activities organised by Friends of IST,  or simply providing encouragement at home.

May this festive time be filled with memorable moments shared with family and friends.  The Primary Staff Choir made a surprise appearance in our final assembly of the year - a moment that we will cherish.

Looking forward to the upcoming school term, there are some new dates/ events below where your participation is welcomed and encouraged.

Wishing you all a joyous winter holiday and a Happy New Year!

Winter concert!

In this last week of term the special mention has to go to Mr Palmer and his students who gave us a  marvellous concert on Tuesday evening. There were some absolutely brilliant performances from musicians from  all grades (and even staff!). We clearly have some very talented students here at IST!

… and, of course, do  look out for the school production coming up in March 2024!

All of us here at IST wish you all a peaceful and very enjoyable winter break and we all look forward to seeing our students back in the new year!

Very best wishes,

Nick Fretwell

Head of Secondary
